The exact subject matter is a still… “Under Development”, but I’ve
decided to install a wiki on OpenDNA.com. Step one, as far as I’m
concerned, is to chose a flavor of WikiWikiWeb that (1) I like,
and (2) will run from FreeShell.org
(SDF).
ErfurtWiki – implemented
in the PHP scripting language and fully contained in one script file; easy
ImageUploading function; caches referenced images; works with a MySQL
database (and many other), but also has already a flat files backend;
external administration tools; does not enforcing a specific page layout
so skins can be customized.
WikiRootry – written in PHP, it uses plain files to store data, no database system is
needed.
MoinMoin – Written in
Python; runs with standard CGI; icons; lots of support.
