
{"id":1741,"date":"2020-01-16T22:12:42","date_gmt":"2020-01-16T22:12:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/opendna.com\/blog\/?p=1741"},"modified":"2020-01-16T22:31:12","modified_gmt":"2020-01-16T22:31:12","slug":"arduino-ide-setup-for-atmega328p","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/opendna.com\/blog\/2020\/01\/16\/arduino-ide-setup-for-atmega328p\/","title":{"rendered":"Arduino IDE setup for ATmega328P"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I had some difficulty remembering how to set the Arduino IDE to upload sketches to a Pro Mini clone with an ATmega328P chip so I&#8217;m keeping a record this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>Wiring: (TTL) DTR\/RTD\/TXD\/VCC\/GND -> (ProMini) DTR\/TXD\/RTD\/VCC\/GND \nBoard: Arduino Uno\nProgrammer: AVR ISP\nTip: don't need to key the reset-button during upload if DTR is set.<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>I default to Baud 9600 for serial connections but the IDE loads at 56700(?) baud. I probably didn&#8217;t think serial was successful because I had the baud rate wrong.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>(Hi future self. By the time you&#8217;ve read this, you&#8217;ll probably have a successful serial connection using  &#8220;Arduino Pro or Pro Mini, ATmega328P&#8221; settings.
