Not on my watch, thank you.<\/p>\n<p>There was a time when the media could be ruled by the free market and Adam<br \/>\nSmith would have approved. Those days have been replaced, at the hands of<br \/>\nretrograde economic policy and FCC deregulation, with a historic<br \/>\nconcentration of media ownership and voluntary censorship.<\/p>\n<p>Pravda ain\u2019t got nothin\u2019 on ClearChannel, baby.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019d like to slap each of the hacks who still, despite all real world<br \/>\nexperiences to the contrary, continue to promise more diversity and higher<br \/>\nquality through deregulation.  Taking their cues from Satan these vermin<br \/>\nwould convict Peter Zenger and ban Tom Paine. They\u2019d then swagger to the<br \/>\nbank with their commissions to the tune of whatever RIAA was pushing that<br \/>\nmonth. Our ancestors tarred-and-feathered swine like that for serving the<br \/>\nHudson Bay Company and the East Indian Tea Company and the next American<br \/>\ngeneration to grow a backbone will do it again.<\/p>\n<p>I support a rule change: prohibit any Person from owning more than one<br \/>\nmedia outlet in the country. Period. It\u2019s the only way to perserve public<br \/>\norder and the republic. \u201cAll top-50! All spectrum! All the time!\u201d That\u2019s<br \/>\nnot diversity.
