Why Kerry? Because every<br \/>\ntime I hear about him he&#8217;s got an aggressive angle clearly targeted to<br \/>\nchallenge and take down the president. (As compared to say&#8230; Dick<br \/>\nGephardt)<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.moveon.org\/pac\/cands\/kerry.html\">John<br \/>\nKerry<\/a> called for &#8220;regime change&#8221; in the U.S. GOP went ballistic.\n<\/li>\n<li>John Kerry made renewable energy independence a campaign plank, and<br \/>\nsetting the Dem standard.\n<\/li>\n<li>John Kerry has a military record better than the President.\n<\/li>\n<li>John Kerry has a better national security advisor than the President.<br \/>\n(<a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.opendna.com\/blog\/2003_06_15_blog1_archive.html#95743564\">See<br \/>\nhere.<\/a>)\n<\/li>\n<li>He&#8217;s got a chin to rival <a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.tv.cbc.ca\/national\/pgminfo\/mulroney\/\">Brian Mulroney<\/a>,<br \/>\nwhich can only be good for face recognition and cartoons.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>I like <a HREF=\"http:\/\/www.moveon.org\/pac\/cands\/kucinich.html\">Kucinich<\/a> too but<br \/>\nhe&#8217;s kinda like Ralph Nader &#8211; Democrats want him around to push his<br \/>\nissues, just not in front during the general election when it counts. I<br \/>\nthink he&#8217;s got a ghost of a chance, but.. Ideally I&#8217;d have Kerry for Pres<br \/>\nand Kucinich for Veep: think of a hungry John McCain\/Al Gore hybrid<br \/>\nagainst Bush with a grinning Ralph Nader\/George McGovern hybrid against<br \/>\nCheney. I call it the &#8220;Bad Ass &#38; Hope&#8221; slate.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>If we kick over Prop. 215, the national debt and the estate tax maybe we<br \/>\ncan goad Soros, Perot and Gates Sr. to lend some &#8220;rich guy&#8221; credibility to<br \/>\nthe whole  affair.  Turn NASA into a hi-tech subsidy program and hand it<br \/>\nresponsibility for Star Wars. If we do that I predict Silicon Valley&#8217;s<br \/>\ndot-com-munist army will rise from exile in Houston, Atlanta and San<br \/>\nDiego, and swarm down upon the Beltway lobbyists reinforced by a<br \/>\nMillion-Trekies March. Middle America won the last election and it&#8217;s been<br \/>\na disaster for the fringes ever since. It&#8217;s time the freaks Swarmed, as<br \/>\nRummy likes to say, and stuck back like The Empire.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;That little geek-out probably suggests when I intend to ditch this gig<br \/>\nfor other adventures. A &#8220;Revenge of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.opendna.com\/blog\/2003_01_19_front_archive.html#87945746\">the<br \/>\nJackrabbit<\/a>&#8221; series may be in the future.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ve Been Warned,<\/p>\n<p>J-Mac<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><i>P.S.
